Welcome to the Solent Junior School Community!

We cannot wait to meet you all, but wanted to share a little more information with you first about what to expect when starting in Year 3. Solent Junior School is a very exciting place to learn, where you will continue to grow and carry on the learning journey that began at your Infant School.

In Year 3, we participate in lots of exciting learning opportunities, including daily Reading, English and Maths, as well as range of other engaging learning experiences including The Arts, Science and Topic. During the Year, we will be going on a Residential Trip (Covid allowing), leading out a Carol Concert, sandwich making, an Egyptian Exhibition and much, much more! So there really is so much for you to look forward to.

On the New Entrants Tab, we will be continuing to add lots of a resources to start to prepare you for September. Have a read of the all the different documents, and watch the presentations to familiarise yourself with your new school as they appear, to prepare you for life in Year 3. If you would like some activities for the Summer, then have a look at the Reading List for some book choices, and even start practising the Year 3-4 spelling words! This will certainly give you a head start for September.

The Junior School is such a special, exciting place to be, and we look forward to welcoming you all very soon! In the meantime, watch the tour of the school, so you can have a little look around.
