Description
On Monday 4th November, we will be spending the whole day immersing ourselves in the South
American tradition, Día De Los Muertos.
This incredible day will become the hook for our new topic as it will feature heavily in our Year 5
curriculum this half term. During Autumn 2, we will be using our Literacy skills to write a poem about
this unique day, exploring the origin of the tradition in our Humanities topic – The Ancient Mayans -
who were some of the first to Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos, over 3000 years ago and finding more
about a Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
