This year, we have decided to raise awareness for the charity, RaisingTwenty1, with a “Lots of Socks” celebration on Friday 20th March. This coincides with World Down’s Syndrome Day on Saturday 21st March 2026.

On Friday 20th March, everyone is invited to come to school wearing funky, colourful or mismatched socks for the day. Socks are a similar shape to chromosomes and Down’s Syndrome is caused by the presence of an extra chromosome, specifically three copies of the 21st chromosome.

This is not a fundraiser and so we will not be collecting any money. This is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, share information and raise awareness.
